A bomb squad reached Al-Falah University to check a Brezza car that
reportedly belongs to Delhi blast accused Dr. Umar Nabi Bhat.
The National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) also sent
a show-cause notice to the university for allegedly showing
a fake NAAC accreditation on its website.
Dr. Umar Nabi Bhat, who worked as an assistant professor
at Al-Falah University, was confirmed through a DNA test
to be the driver of the i20 car that exploded near Delhi’s
Red Fort on November 10. The blast killed at least 13 people.
Police said on Wednesday that Bhat also owns another car — a
red Ford EcoSport — apart from the Hyundai i20 that blew up in
the explosion. Because of this, the Delhi Police issued
an alert and are continuing their investigation.
