Flights at Philadelphia International Airport were stopped for a short time
today at 7 p.m. local time because of a bomb threat. The U.S. Federal Aviation
Administration and the police later confirmed that the threat was checked and
found to be false. Philadelphia is in the state of Pennsylvania in the USA.
Earlier this month, several other U.S. airports also received bomb threats, but
all were found to be false. In early November, flights at Reagan Washington
National Airport were briefly stopped due to a bomb threat. On the same day,
a Delta flight at LaGuardia Airport was evacuated before takeoff after a bomb
threat was reported.
