The Greater Chennai City Police have made special security arrangements by deploying 8,000 police officers and personnel to ensure people can celebrate Christmas safely and peacefully.
On Thursday (December 25, 2025), a large number of people are expected to visit churches. To manage the crowds and ensure the safety of women, children, and the public, detailed security measures have been put in place. From Wednesday night (December 24) until Thursday night, 8,000 police officers and personnel will be on duty under the supervision of Deputy Commissioners and led by Assistant Commissioners. Home Guards will also be deployed to support the police.
