Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy inaugurated the ‘Aadudam Andhra’ sports festival at Loyola Public School grounds in Nallapadu, Guntur district. This initiative by the State government marks the first time sports competitions are being organized from the Village/Ward Secretariat level to the State level.
The 47-day event, scheduled from December 26 to February 10, 2024, includes competitions such as cricket, volleyball, kabaddi, kho-kho, and badminton doubles, engaging 34.19 lakh players and drawing over 88.66 lakh spectators. Prizes totaling ₹12 crores in cash and exciting rewards will be distributed at the constituency, district, and State levels, aiming to provide a platform for hidden talents and propel them to national and international recognition.
