This victory propelled them to the top of the league table.
Matthew Forde delivered a sensational performance with his first five-wicket haul, restricting the Kingsmen to 169 runs after they were asked to bat first. His impressive spell included four wickets within the Powerplay, reducing Jamaica to 54/5 by the sixth over. He completed his five-wicket haul later in the innings, finishing with 12 wickets this season and leading the CPL 2026 wicket榜.
Chasing 170, Saint Lucia lost Tim Seifert early, but Kamil Pooran stepped up with an unbeaten 81 off 49 balls. He combined with John Campbell for a quickfire partnership of 66 runs in 39 balls, and later found an ideal partner in debutant Obus Pienaar. Pienaar took three crucial catches during Jamaica’s innings and then smashed an unbeaten 34 off just 14 balls, including four boundaries and two sixes.
