Deputy Chief Minister Launches ‘Bus First’ Campaign to Improve City Bus Services
Chennai Deputy Chief Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin launched the “Bus First”
campaign of the Metropolitan Transport Corporation (MTC) on Friday. The campaign

Chennai.
Speaking at the launch, Udhayanidhi Stalin said that buses are an important part
of city life. He added that the government wants more people to choose buses for
their daily travel instead of private vehicles. This will help reduce traffic
congestion, save fuel, and make the city cleaner.
The “Bus First” campaign will focus on better bus services, on-time schedules,
cleaner buses, and safer travel for passengers. The MTC also plans to introduce
awareness programs and promotional activities to attract more passengers.
Officials said that the campaign will run across the city and aim to make public
transport more convenient and comfortable for everyone.
