Dhinakaran Questions Kamaraj Support Video Authenticity

CHENNAI: Political tensions in Tamil Nadu have increased as TTV Dhinakaran, leader of Amma Makkal Munnetra Kazhagam (AMMK), raised serious questions about a video circulating on social media involving his party’s MLA-elect, S. Kamaraj.
The controversy began after a video surfaced online showing Kamaraj allegedly “voluntarily and happily” extending support to Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK), led by Vijay, in its attempt to form the next government.
Dhinakaran strongly questioned whether the footage was genuine and demanded proof of its authenticity.
He called on TVK to produce the original signed support letter from Kamaraj, rather than photocopies or unofficial versions.
In addition, he asked for full details about who recorded the video, where it was filmed, and under what circumstances it was made.
Dhinakaran’s demands suggest growing suspicion over possible political pressure or manipulation in the high-stakes battle for government formation.
The issue has become especially significant because every MLA’s support is crucial in the current hung Assembly, where TVK is working to gather enough numbers to cross the majority mark.
TVK has so far maintained that Kamaraj’s support is legitimate, while AMMK continues to challenge that claim.
This dispute has added another layer of uncertainty to Tamil Nadu’s already dramatic post-election political landscape, where coalition-building, strategic alliances, and allegations of horse-trading continue to dominate developments.
