DMK Party Fulfills Many Promises

A recent analysis by South First shows that the ruling Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) in Tamil Nadu has completed 394 out of 505 promises made in its 2021 election manifesto. This comes as the state prepares for the Assembly elections on April 23, 2026.

The DMK came back to power after 10 years by making several welfare promises aimed at helping people, especially families and women. Some of its major schemes include giving ₹1,000 per month to women heads of families, providing free bus travel for women, and reducing the price of milk.

As the next election approaches, people are closely looking at how many of these promises have actually been fulfilled. The report suggests that the government has completed a large number of its commitments, showing progress in many areas.

However, the analysis also points out that some promises are still not fully achieved. In particular, a few schemes related to women’s welfare and support have not been completely implemented yet.

Overall, while the DMK government has delivered on many of its promises, some work still remains. Voters are likely to consider this performance as an important factor when they cast their votes in the upcoming election.
