DMK Wins Coimbatore South by Narrow Margin

COIMBATORE: In a close and exciting election result, DMK candidate V Senthil Balaji has won the Coimbatore South constituency.

The counting of votes continued for 20 rounds on Monday, and the result stayed uncertain until the final stages. In the end, Senthil Balaji won by a very small margin of 1,991 votes.

The contest was one of the most closely watched in the state due to the strong competition between the parties. Both sides remained hopeful until the last round of counting.

The newly formed Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) also performed strongly in its first major election. Its candidate V Senthilkumar gave tough competition throughout the counting process and secured 57,176 votes.

Even though TVK did not win the seat, its performance is being seen as impressive for a debut election. The party managed to cut into the winning margin and showed strong support in the constituency.

The final result highlights a tight political battle in Coimbatore South, with both DMK and TVK putting up a strong fight.
