The pitch at Eden Gardens in Kolkata has been in the spotlight after the
first Test between South Africa and India ended in just two and a half days.
India was bowled out for only 93 runs in their second innings.
This is the first time the Indian Test team has scored less than 100 runs in
the fourth innings of a Test match.
Former India captain and Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) president, Sourav
Ganguly, has now shared his thoughts on the controversy. In an interview with
India Today, Ganguly explained that the curators appointed by the BCCI take
charge of preparing the pitch four days before a Test match begins.
