Explosion at Fireworks Plant Kills 26 in Hunan Province

A deadly explosion at a fireworks factory in Hunan province, China, has killed at least 26 people and injured 61 others.

The blast happened yesterday afternoon at the Huasheng Fireworks Manufacturing and Display Company, located in Liuyang, a city known for its large fireworks industry.

According to officials, the powerful explosion caused major destruction at the factory site, leading to significant casualties and emergency response efforts.

More than 480 rescue workers have been deployed to the area, working in five separate rescue teams to search for survivors, control the situation, and assist the injured.

In addition to human rescue teams, three rescue robots have also been sent to support operations, helping in dangerous areas where conditions may be unsafe for workers.

All injured victims have been transported to nearby hospitals, where they are receiving medical treatment.

Authorities are continuing rescue and recovery efforts while investigating the cause of the explosion.

The tragic incident has raised fresh concerns about industrial safety and the risks associated with fireworks manufacturing, particularly in areas with large-scale production facilities.
