Fake Cop Enters Government Office in India

A man pretending to be a police officer entered a government office in Hyderabad and falsely claimed that he was part of the security team responsible for protecting Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy.
The incident took place at the Telangana Secretariat, one of the state’s most secure government locations.
According to reports, the suspect told officials and security personnel that he was assigned to the Chief Minister’s protection unit. His claims initially raised concern because of the sensitive nature of the location and the importance of security protocols.
However, staff and guards soon became suspicious after noticing inconsistencies in the information he provided. When questioned further, his responses reportedly did not match what a genuine police officer or official security personnel would be expected to know.
Realizing the deception, authorities attempted to take action, but the suspect is believed to have fled the scene.
Police have launched a search operation to identify and locate the man. Investigators are now examining whether the incident was part of a larger security threat, a fraud attempt, or an isolated act of impersonation.
Officials have not yet disclosed the suspect’s identity, motives, or background, and investigations are ongoing.
The case has drawn significant attention due to the serious security concerns involved, especially because unauthorized access to sensitive government premises could pose major risks. Authorities are expected to review security measures to prevent similar incidents in the future.
