Four Killed and Ten Injured in Bus-Truck Collision in Karnataka

A tragic accident occurred near Gollahalli on National Highway 150 in Karnataka’s Chitradurga district, resulting in the deaths of four individuals and injuries to ten others. The incident took place around 3 a.m. when a Karnataka Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) bus, en route from Raichur to Bengaluru, collided with a truck.

Three passengers lost their lives on the spot, and one individual succumbed to injuries in the hospital. Those injured are currently receiving treatment at Chitradurga district hospital and Hiriyur government hospital. The deceased victims have been identified as 35-year-old Mabamma from Raichur, 40-year-old Ramesh, and 45-year-old Parvathamma from Bengaluru, while efforts are ongoing to identify the fourth victim.

The collision caused extensive damage to the bus, and the truck driver reportedly fled the scene. Investigations are ongoing to determine the circumstances surrounding the accident.
