Chennai Super Kings (CSK) defeated Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in an exciting match, thanks to spinner Noor Ahmed’s crucial bowling performance. Noor took three wickets for just 21 runs, including key dismissals of Ajinkya Rahane, Cameron Green, and Rinku Singh, which turned the game around.
KKR started strong, with Rahane and Angkrish Raghuvanshi forming a 50-run partnership. However, Noor’s spell disrupted their chase, leaving them struggling to reach the target of 193. KKR ended at 160/7, while CSK secured their second consecutive win after initially losing three matches.
Speaking after the game, Noor expressed his happiness in contributing to the team’s victory. He mentioned how the dew and humidity made the ball tricky for batsmen to handle, giving him an advantage. This performance boosted his confidence, and he plans to keep putting in effort for future games.
CSK scored 192/5 in their innings, with Sanju Samson (48 runs) and Dewald Brevis (41 runs) standing out as top scorers. Kartik Tyagi was the best bowler for KKR, taking two wickets for 35 runs.
KKR remains winless this season, sitting at the bottom of the table. CSK has moved up to eighth place with four points.
