“Highway Blocked After Cow Vigilante Death”

Locals blocked a national highway in the Kosi Kalan area of Mathura on Saturday (March 21, 2026) to protest the death of a cow protection activist. The man, Chandrashekhar, was widely known in the Braj region as “Farsa Wale Baba.”

According to reports, he was allegedly run over by a vehicle believed to be linked to suspected cattle smugglers. Protesters claim that his death was not an accident but a deliberate act. This belief led to anger among local residents and followers, creating tension in the area.

A large number of people gathered on the highway, blocking traffic and demanding strict action against those responsible. The protest soon turned tense, and clashes broke out between the protesters and the police. Authorities tried to control the situation and clear the road, but faced resistance from the crowd.

The incident has increased tensions in the locality, with people calling for a thorough investigation. Police officials have said that they are looking into the case and will take action based on evidence. Security has been tightened in the area to prevent further unrest.

Locals continue to demand justice for Chandrashekhar, while officials are working to restore normalcy and maintain law and order in the region.
