Honoring Service: Andhra Pradesh CM Launches Cash Award Programme for Volunteers

Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy initiates a week-long statewide programme to distribute Seva Mitra, Seva Ratna, and Seva Vajra awards to exemplary village/ward secretariat volunteers. This move comes with an increase in prize money, totaling ₹392.05 crore, aimed at recognizing and motivating volunteers for their selfless dedication to public service.

Under the revised scheme, cash awards for Seva Vajra, Seva Ratna, and Seva Mitra have been enhanced to ₹45,000, ₹30,000, and ₹15,000 respectively, fostering a culture of excellence and commitment. Additionally, 997 volunteers who garnered commendable testimonials from beneficiaries of various government schemes will also receive cash prizes totaling ₹1.61 crore, further acknowledging their invaluable contributions at different administrative levels.
