There is no break from the rain for Tamil Nadu and Chennai, which have been
getting rainfall for the last few days. The India Meteorological Department
(IMD) has said that light to moderate rain, along with thunderstorms and
lightning, may continue. A yellow warning has been issued because of the rain.
The IMD has also warned people about slippery roads, waterlogging, and possible
traffic problems.
Rain is expected in some places in Chengalpattu, Chennai, Cuddalore, Kanchipuram,
Mayiladuthurai, Nagapattinam, Thiruvallur, and Viluppuram districts in Tamil Nadu.
It may also rain in Puducherry and the Karaikal region.
Light rain is also likely in Kanyakumari, Tirunelveli, Tenkasi, Coimbatore,
and Ramanathapuram districts.
The weather forecast says that conditions may get worse by the weekend.
