Union Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal spoke with Canada’s Minister of
International Trade, Maninder Sidhu, to improve trade and business ties between both
countries. Piyush Goyal wrote in a social media post that the discussion with Minister
Sidhu was productive and focused on boosting trade and commercial cooperation.
He also said that he will lead a high-level group to Canada next year to explore
trade and investment opportunities.
The Canadian minister said that the economic relationship between India and Canada
remains strong and steady. He also promised to continue working together through
regular talks, mutual respect, and future-focused cooperation.
