“India Hits One Billion Tonnes Coal Output Again”

India has once again reached a major milestone by producing over one billion tonnes of coal. This is the second year in a row that the country has achieved this level of production, showing steady growth in the energy sector.

According to the Ministry of Coal, this achievement is important for strengthening India’s energy security. It means the country is becoming more self-reliant and less dependent on imports for its energy needs. Coal continues to play a key role in powering industries and generating electricity across the country.

The Ministry said that higher coal production has helped meet the growing demand for energy. It has also supported the power sector by maintaining high levels of coal stock at thermal power plants. This ensures that power generation is not affected and helps avoid electricity shortages.

Officials added that the government is working to create a stable and transparent system in the coal sector. Steps such as better policies, regular monitoring of performance, and close coordination with companies and stakeholders are helping improve production and supply.

The Ministry also emphasized that its focus is on ensuring smooth operations and reliable availability of coal for all sectors. With continued efforts, India aims to further strengthen its energy system and support economic growth.
