India’s strong performance in the recent series against New Zealand has shown why they will be very difficult to beat in the upcoming T20 World Cup, which begins on February 7. This view was shared by former Australian cricketer Michael Klinger, who is now a coach.
Klinger said that India played with confidence and aggression during the series, proving that they are well prepared to defend their title. He believes the team has the right balance of experienced players and young talent.
According to him, India’s biggest strength is their aggressive top-order batting. The opening and top batsmen score runs quickly and put pressure on the opposition from the start. This gives the team strong momentum and helps them set or chase big totals.
Klinger, who is currently the head coach of Women’s Premier League franchise Gujarat Giants, said India’s top-order core makes them one of the strongest teams going into the ICC tournament. He added that their depth in both batting and bowling makes them serious title contenders.
With good form, confidence, and strong players in every department, India is expected to be one of the favourites to win the T20 World Cup.
