India U20 Women Face Uzbekistan in Friendly

The Indian Under-20 women’s football team will play the first of two friendly matches against Uzbekistan today at the FC Madras Academy in Mahabalipuram, Tamil Nadu. These matches will be played without spectators and will start at 5 pm (Indian Time). Head coach Joakim Alexandersson has selected 24 players for the games. The matches are part of India’s preparation for the 2026 AFC U20 Women’s Asian Cup.

Last month, the Indian team played two friendly matches against Kazakhstan’s U19 team in Shymkent. India won the first match 3-2 and drew the second match 1-1. The second match against Uzbekistan will be played on Tuesday at the same place.
