Indian Democracy Will Grow Stronger with Women’s Quota in 2029: PM Modi

On April 14, 2026, Narendra Modi said that Indian democracy will become stronger and more lively if the 2029 elections are held with full reservation for women. This includes elections for both the Lok Sabha and state legislative assemblies.

In a letter written to the women of the country, Modi praised their achievements in many areas such as education, business, science, and public service. He said that women have proved their strength and ability, and it is now important to give them more opportunities in politics as well.

He explained that increasing women’s participation in law-making bodies will help bring new ideas, better decisions, and more balanced development. According to him, when women take part in leadership roles, it helps improve governance and ensures that different voices are heard.

Modi also said that giving women proper representation is not just about equality, but also about strengthening the country’s democracy. He believes that when more women are involved in decision-making, it will lead to better policies that support families, communities, and the nation as a whole.

He encouraged women to take an active role in politics and public life, and assured that the government is working towards creating more opportunities for them. The idea of women’s reservation in elections is seen as an important step towards building a more inclusive and fair political system in India.
