India’s External Affairs Minister Concludes Visit to UAE

External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar has finished his two-day official visit to the United Arab Emirates (UAE). He met with top Emirati leaders, including President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. Jaishankar delivered a message from Prime Minister Narendra Modi to the UAE leader.

The talks focused on boosting energy cooperation, increasing trade, and deepening India-UAE ties under their Comprehensive Strategic Partnership. Crown Prince of Dubai Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed was also present during the meeting. Jaishankar held separate discussions with UAE Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan about regional stability, the West Asia conflict, and ensuring safety for Indian nationals in the region.

Upon arriving on Saturday, Jaishankar met members of India’s community in the UAE. He addressed their concerns about safety amid rising tensions and highlighted the government’s support efforts for Indians abroad.

This visit is part of India’s diplomatic strategy to secure energy supplies from Gulf nations. Meanwhile, Petroleum Minister Hardeep Singh Puri was holding talks in Qatar during this time.

The UAE remains India’s third-largest trading partner globally. Jaishankar’s visit concluded his four-day tour, which included attending the 9th Indian Ocean Conference in Mauritius.
