Iran and U.S. Talks in Pakistan for Peace

Iranian officials arrived in Pakistan over the weekend (April 11, 2026) to take part in peace talks with the United States. These talks are being seen as an important step to reduce tensions between the two countries.

Iran is asking for a ceasefire in Lebanon and also wants economic sanctions to be removed so that negotiations can move forward more smoothly. Iranian leaders believe that easing these pressures will help both sides reach an agreement.

Earlier, US Vice President J.D. Vance warned Iran not to mislead the United States during the discussions. He made this statement while traveling to Islamabad, where the talks are taking place.

On April 10, Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif spoke in a television address. He said these talks are a very important moment for both countries and urged them to resolve their differences peacefully. He highlighted that dialogue is the best way to avoid further conflict.

At the same time, US President Donald Trump said his main goal is to make sure that Iran does not develop nuclear weapons. He also promised that the Strait of Hormuz will remain open, no matter how the talks go, as it is important for global trade and oil supply.

Overall, both sides have different demands, but there is hope that these talks will help reduce tensions and lead to a peaceful solution.
