Jaishankar Urges Poland to Reject Terrorism

External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar has said that Poland should take a zero-tolerance approach towards terrorism and should not support or encourage terrorist networks in India’s neighbouring regions. He made these remarks during a meeting with Poland’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Affairs Minister, Radoslaw Sikorski, in New Delhi.

In his opening statement, Dr. Jaishankar said that Poland is familiar with the Indian region and understands the long-standing problem of cross-border terrorism faced by India. He added that terrorism remains a serious concern and needs to be addressed firmly and without double standards.

The External Affairs Minister said that the talks between the two countries would cover important regional and global issues. He stressed the need for close cooperation between India and Poland on matters related to security, peace, and international stability.

Dr. Jaishankar also referred to his recent discussions in New York and Paris, where he shared India’s position on the Ukraine conflict and its wider impact on the world. He said India has consistently pointed out that being selectively targeted or criticised is unfair and unjustified.

He reaffirmed that India supports dialogue, cooperation, and a balanced global approach, while strongly opposing terrorism in all forms.
