Union Health and Family Welfare Minister Jagat Prakash Nadda visited the Chittaranjan National Cancer Institute (CNCI) at New Town in Kolkata today to review its medical facilities and healthcare services.
During his visit, the Minister interacted with doctors, nurses, and other hospital staff to understand how the institute is functioning. He also spoke with patients and their families to know about the quality of treatment and care they are receiving.
After inspecting the hospital, Mr Nadda held a high-level meeting with senior doctors and hospital administrators. The meeting focused on discussing the day-to-day operations, availability of medical equipment, and ways to further improve the hospital’s medical infrastructure and patient services.
The visit was aimed at ensuring that the cancer institute continues to provide high-quality and affordable care to patients and strengthens its healthcare facilities.
