Karnataka Cabinet Reshuffle Likely Delayed Again

The much-discussed cabinet reshuffle in Karnataka is unlikely to take place in
November. Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge has asked Chief Minister
Siddaramaiah to hold more discussions with senior leaders, including Deputy
Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar and AICC General Secretaries Randeep Singh
Surjewala and K.C. Venugopal.
The Chief Minister went to Delhi on Monday, 17 November, to meet Prime Minister
Narendra Modi and talk about state issues, including the ongoing protest by
sugarcane farmers in North Karnataka. Earlier, on Saturday, 15 November,
Gandhi reportedly
approved the idea of changing the cabinet and asked the CM to consult
Kharge before making final decisions.
