A new wave of tension has started in the Karnataka Congress. Many party members
are now asking an important question: if the party high command was able to
convince DK Shivakumar to wait 2.5 years for the Chief Minister’s post, why
can’t they now convince Siddaramaiah to keep the promise he reportedly made in
private?
Sources close to DK Shivakumar and ministers who support him told India Today
that Siddaramaiah had agreed to step down as Chief Minister after half of the
government’s term. That halfway point is now getting close.
