Karnataka Engineer Missing After Border Floods

Rakesh Nayak, an engineer from Karnataka, has gone missing after severe floods hit an immigration office near the Nepal-China border, according to his family.

The family said they became worried after losing contact with Nayak following the floods. He had recently travelled to Mansarovar as part of a package tour organised by the Isha Foundation.

According to his family, Nayak was on the trip when heavy flooding affected the border region. The floods caused serious disruption in the area and made it difficult for people to move between locations.

After learning about his disappearance, Nayak’s family began contacting officials to find out what had happened to him. They have approached the Indian Embassy and other authorities and requested help in locating him.

The family is waiting for information about his current location and safety. They are also trying to find out whether he was evacuated or taken to another place after the floods.

The situation has become more difficult because the affected region is facing challenging weather and travel conditions. Rescue and relief teams are working in several areas affected by the floods and landslides.

Nayak’s family is hoping that officials will be able to trace him soon and provide information about his condition. They are continuing to remain in contact with the authorities while waiting for further updates.

The incident has also highlighted the difficulties faced by travellers in the region during the ongoing flood situation. Authorities are continuing rescue and relief operations as they assess the damage and search for people who may still be missing.
