Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has announced the introduction of the Karnataka Public Examination (Measures for Prevention of Corruption & Unfair Means in Recruitment) Bill – 2023. The Bill aims to establish rigorous and transparent recruitment processes in government bodies, ensuring that only qualified and deserving candidates secure government jobs.
The move comes in response to widespread irregularities in government recruitment examinations during the previous BJP-led government, leading to the deprivation of job opportunities for honest and hardworking candidates. Siddaramaiah emphasized that the bill, approved in the Cabinet meeting, prioritizes filling vacancies while ensuring deserving individuals secure employment.
