The Excise Department in Kerala has arrested Anto Augustine, Managing Director of local news channel Reporter TV, under the Abkari Act. The arrest is connected to allegations that an excessive quantity of liquor was stored at his ancestral home in Wayanad.
According to the available information, an Excise team led by Assistant Commissioner Baiju carried out the arrest on Thursday, September 17. At the time, Augustine was at his office in Kochi.
