Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) had to leave out Varun Chakaravarthy and Sunil Narine for their match against Punjab Kings (PBKS) in IPL 2026. The decision was made just before the game at the coin toss by KKR captain Ajinkya Rahane.
KKR is under pressure after losing their first two games and needs points to improve their standings. PBKS, on the other hand, comes into this match with confidence after winning against Gujarat Titans and Chennai Super Kings.
Varun was injured while taking a catch in the previous game, and Narine was unwell. As a result, Rovman Powell and Navdeep Saini were included in the team.
Punjab Kings’ squad includes Prabhsimran Singh, Shreyas Iyer, Cooper Connolly, Nehal Wadhera, Shashank Singh, Marcus Stoinis, Marco Jansen, Xavier Bartlett, Vijaykumar Vyshak, Arshdeep Singh, and Yuzvendra Chahal.
KKR’s team features Finn Allen, Ajinkya Rahane, Cameron Green, Angkrish Raghuvanshi, Rovman Powell, Rinku Singh, Ramandeep Singh, Anukul Roy, Navdeep Saini, Vaibhav Arora, and Kartik Tyagi.
