KTR Targets Congress Government Over SIT Action

Hyderabad: Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) working president K.T. Rama Rao (KTR), along with senior party leaders, spoke to the media on Monday after former Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) appeared before the Special Investigation Team (SIT).

During the press meet, KTR strongly criticised the Congress-led state government and accused it of misusing power for political reasons. He summed up the government’s two-year rule in three words — “Diversion, Subversion, Perversion.”

Explaining his remarks, KTR said the government was trying to divert people’s attention from important public issues by creating unnecessary controversies. He alleged that instead of focusing on development and welfare schemes, the administration was busy targeting political opponents.

He further accused the government of hiding its failures and not fulfilling the promises made to the people during the elections. According to him, several commitments related to jobs, welfare benefits, and development projects remain unfulfilled.

KTR also claimed that the Congress government was engaging in what he described as “perverted politics” by misusing investigations and agencies to harass opposition leaders. He said the SIT questioning of KCR was politically motivated and meant to damage the image of the BRS leadership.

Senior BRS leaders who were present at the press conference echoed KTR’s views and said the party would continue to fight against what they called unfair actions by the government. They expressed confidence that the people of the state would see through such tactics.

Overall, KTR said the government should focus on governance and development instead of political vendetta, and he assured that BRS would continue to raise its voice for the people.
