The Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM) shared details about vehicle sales in India. Maharashtra is the largest buyer of passenger cars and commercial vehicles, while Uttar Pradesh leads in sales of two-wheelers and three-wheelers.
According to SIAM data, the share of passenger vehicle (PV) sales by state is as follows:

Uttar Pradesh: 9.7%
Gujarat: 8.5%
Karnataka: 7.4%
Kerala: 6.7%
Tamil Nadu: 6.6%
Haryana: 6.5%
Rajasthan: 5.5%
Delhi: 4.7%
Madhya Pradesh: 4.1%
Punjab and Telangana: 3.7% each
West Bengal: 2.7%
Andhra Pradesh: 2.5%
Bihar: 2%
Other states and union territories: 13.1%
