Mandhana Leads RCB to Second WPL Title

The fourth season of the Women’s Premier League (WPL) ended on Thursday with an exciting final match. Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) defeated Delhi Capitals by six wickets at the BCA Stadium in Vadodara to win the title.

With this victory, RCB equalled the record for the most WPL titles. Both RCB and Mumbai Indians now have two championships each.

RCB captain Smriti Mandhana played a key role in the team’s success throughout the tournament. She led from the front with both her batting and captaincy. Mandhana scored consistently in every match and helped her team in crucial moments.

As expected, she won the Orange Cap for scoring the most runs in the season. She made 377 runs in nine matches, finishing as the top run-scorer of the tournament. She began her campaign strongly with an unbeaten 47 runs against UP Warriorz and continued her good form till the final.

Her strong performances and leadership were important reasons behind RCB’s title win.
