Maruti Suzuki Achieves Record Production, Highest Sales

Maruti Suzuki India Limited achieved its highest-ever annual production in 2025, producing over 22.55 lakh vehicles. This is the second year in a row that the company has crossed the 20 lakh mark, showing the strength of India’s automobile manufacturing.

The production includes vehicles for domestic sales, exports, and supplies to other companies. The top five models contributing to this record were Fronx, Baleno, Swift, Dzire, and Ertiga.

Hisashi Takeuchi, Managing Director & CEO, said, “This record production is the result of our employees’ hard work and strong cooperation with our suppliers. A high level of local manufacturing has helped us achieve this scale while keeping world-class quality.”

Maruti Suzuki has manufacturing plants in Gurugram, Manesar, Kharkhoda, and recently added the Gujarat plant. The company currently produces 17 models across more than 650 variants and plans to increase its capacity to 4 million vehicles per year to meet growing demand in India and abroad.

In 2025, Maruti Suzuki also recorded its highest-ever total sales, with 2,351,139 units sold. This includes 395,648 vehicles exported, making up 17% of total sales.

The company’s record production and sales reflect strong demand for its vehicles both in India and overseas.
