Massive Public Participation Boosts Tamil Nadu BJP’s Padayatra

The Tamil Nadu BJP is riding high on the remarkable public engagement witnessed during the first phase of the ‘En Mann, Enn Makkal’ (My land, My people) padayatra led by its state unit chief K. Annamalai. Initiated on June 28 at Rameswaram by Union Home Minister Amit Shah, the yatra concluded after 22 days, covering 41 Assembly constituencies across Ramanathapuram, Sivaganga, Madurai, Virudhunagar, Thoothukudi, Kanniyakumari, and Tirunelveli districts, generating immense enthusiasm.

The second phase, set to begin on September 3, will journey through districts such as Tenkasi, Virudhunagar, Madurai, Theni, Dindigul, The Nilgiris, and Coimbatore, culminating on September 27. Political experts suggest Annamalai’s impactful speeches and anti-corruption stance have positioned him as a significant leader in Tamil Nadu.

BJP Vice President Narayanan Thirupathy expressed that Annamalai’s popularity resonates with the people and his leadership holds promise for the 2024 general elections in the state, even in districts where the party’s support is limited.
