Prime Minister Narendra Modi has paid tribute to former Prime Minister
Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru on his birth anniversary. In a message shared on
social media, PM Modi remembered Nehru and honored his contribution as
India’s first Prime Minister.
Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, who played an important role in India’s
freedom struggle and later in building the nation, was born on November
14, 1889, in Allahabad. His birthday is celebrated every year as Children’s
Day across the country because of his love for children.
People across India also paid their respects today, remembering Nehru’s
vision, leadership, and the values he stood for.
