Modi Receives Israel’s Highest Parliamentary Honour

Prime Minister Narendra Modi was awarded the ‘Speaker of the Knesset Medal’ for his outstanding contribution to strengthening strategic ties between India and Israel. He is the first world leader to receive this prestigious honour, which is the highest award given by the Knesset, Israel’s Parliament.

The medal was presented in recognition of his efforts to deepen cooperation and friendship between the two countries. The award highlights the growing partnership between India and Israel in recent years.

Earlier, Prime Minister Modi held a one-on-one (tete-a-tete) meeting with his Israeli counterpart, Benjamin Netanyahu, in Tel Aviv. During the meeting, the two leaders reviewed the full range of bilateral relations between the two nations.

They discussed expanding cooperation in several key areas, including water management, agriculture, defence, innovation and advanced technology. Both leaders expressed satisfaction with the progress made so far and agreed to explore new opportunities for collaboration.

The visit is seen as another important step in strengthening the strategic partnership between India and Israel. The two countries have built close ties over the years, especially in sectors like defence, security, farming techniques and technological development.

Further details of the Prime Minister’s engagements in Israel are expected as the visit continues, with official sources highlighting the importance of this high-level diplomatic exchange.
