MS Dhoni Set for Fitness Test Ahead of IPL Match

Chennai Super Kings (CSK) have some good news as they struggle in IPL 2026. The legendary MS Dhoni, who has missed CSK’s first three matches due to a calf injury, is expected to take a fitness test soon. If he passes, he might return for their next game against Delhi Capitals on April 11.

Dhoni has been rehabbing in Chennai and hasn’t traveled with the team. While he has returned to training and looks strong, CSK’s management is cautious about rushing him back into the lineup.

CSK, led by Ruturaj Gaikwad, has had a tough start, losing all three matches so far. They lost heavily to Rajasthan Royals, Punjab Kings, and defending champions Royal Challengers Bengaluru. With no wins, they are at the bottom of the table.

Meanwhile, South Africa’s Dewald Brevis is also recovering from an injury but is expected to play against DC. Coach Stephen Fleming remains hopeful about his return.

MS Dhoni, 44, has played 278 IPL matches and scored over 5,000 runs with a high strike rate. His potential return could be a big boost for CSK as they aim to turn their season around.
