Mumbai–Ahmedabad Bullet Train Project Makes Steady Progress

Railways Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw has said that work on the Mumbai–Ahmedabad Bullet Train project is moving ahead steadily. He informed that overhead electrification masts are now being installed along different sections of the corridor.

In a post on social media, the Minister said this development is an important step towards starting electric traction for India’s first high-speed rail project. He added that electrification is essential for running bullet trains safely and efficiently.

Mr Vaishnaw also said the progress shows strong and consistent work on the ground. He highlighted that the project is being carried out under the ‘Make in India’ initiative, with a focus on using domestic technology and manufacturing.

The Mumbai–Ahmedabad Bullet Train project is one of India’s most ambitious infrastructure projects and is expected to significantly reduce travel time between the two cities once completed.
