Nandi Hills Closed on Valentine’s Day

The Chikkaballapura District Administration has announced that Nandi Hills will be closed to tourists and vehicles on February 14, which is Valentine’s Day. The decision was made to avoid law and order problems and to ensure public safety.

The ban will be in effect from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. During this time, no tourists or private vehicles will be allowed to enter Nandi Hills. The tourist spot will remain fully closed for the day.

Deputy Commissioner and District Magistrate Prabhu issued the order under Section 163 of the Bharatiya Nagarika Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS), 2023. The district police had requested this step because large crowds usually gather on Valentine’s Day, making it difficult to manage traffic and maintain order.

Officials said the closure is a precaution to prevent any disturbance and keep the area peaceful. Visitors have been advised to plan their trip on another day and cooperate with the authorities.
