Narayanasamy Alleges Cabinet Seats Being Sold

Chennai: Former Puducherry Chief Minister V. Narayanasamy has alleged that the delay in forming the cabinet in Puducherry is due to intense bargaining among MLAs over ministerial posts. He claimed that there is a lot of behind-the-scenes negotiation taking place before the government can finalize its cabinet.

Narayanasamy also made a serious allegation that cabinet positions are being “sold” for large sums of money. He said there are reports suggesting that some MLAs are demanding or offering huge amounts of money, reportedly around ₹100 crore, to secure ministerial berths.

He questioned the AINRC leader and current Chief Minister N. Rangasamy, asking him to give a clear explanation about the delay in cabinet formation and the allegations of financial dealings in the allocation of ministries.

According to Narayanasamy, such practices, if true, would damage public trust in the government and raise serious concerns about transparency in political appointments.

He urged the Chief Minister to clarify the situation publicly and ensure that cabinet selection is done in a fair and honest manner, without any financial influence or corruption.

The allegations have added fresh political tension in Puducherry, where discussions about government formation and power-sharing are already ongoing. However, there has been no official response yet from the ruling AINRC party regarding these claims.
