Nation Marks 77th Republic Day at Kartavya Path

The nation is celebrating the 77th Republic Day today with pride and patriotic spirit. The main celebrations are being held at Kartavya Path in New Delhi, where President Droupadi Murmu led the country in the official Republic Day ceremony.

The day began with Prime Minister Narendra Modi visiting the National War Memorial. The Prime Minister laid a wreath at the memorial to honour the fallen heroes and remember their service.

After this, the Republic Day programme continued at Kartavya Path in the presence of the President, senior government leaders, defence officials, and other dignitaries. The ceremony included the unfurling of the National Flag, the national anthem, and a guard of honour.

Republic Day is celebrated every year on January 26 to mark the day when the Indian Constitution came into effect in 1950. The day reminds citizens of the country’s unity, democracy, and the sacrifices made for its freedom.
