New Delhi World Book Fair 2026 Begins

The 53rd New Delhi World Book Fair 2026 starts today at Bharat Mandapam in the national capital. The fair brings together publishers, writers, readers, and cultural groups from India and many other countries.

The nine-day event will have more than 1,000 publishers from over 35 countries. Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan will officially open the book fair.

The theme for this year is “Indian Military History: Valour and Wisdom @75.” One of the main attractions is the Theme Pavilion, which displays more than 500 books on India’s military history. It will also host over 100 events such as talks, discussions, and book launches.

Visitors can find books in English, Hindi, and many other Indian languages. There are books on different topics including art and culture, history, cinema, biographies, children’s books, and national heritage.

The World Book Fair is expected to draw thousands of book lovers and encourage reading, learning, and cultural exchange.
