Ollie Robinson Aims for Test Recall After Positive Feedback

London [UK], May 5 (ANI): England fast bowler Ollie Robinson is aiming for a return to the Test team, inspired by encouraging messages from head coach Brendon McCullum and selector James Taylor.

Robinson has been in strong form during this season, recently sharing that he received supportive texts from both McCullum and Taylor. These interactions have boosted his confidence and driven him to pursue a spot in the Test side.

McCullum sent Robinson a message at the start of the season, reassuring him that the door to the team remained open. Similarly, Taylor praised Robinson’s performances during a match against Warwickshire, urging him to keep pushing for selection.

Robinson revealed how these comments have motivated him this season. Initially, he thought his chances of returning to the Test team were closed, but the feedback has driven him to perform at his best.

So far this season, Robinson has taken 11 wickets in four County matches for Sussex and scored a century against Surrey. He feels more confident now than when he first joined the England team and is ready to compete at the highest level.

Robinson also mentioned that any past issues with the England management have been resolved, and he remains focused on cricket. He expressed hope that his recent form and mindset will help him secure a place in the national team if given the opportunity.
