On the first anniversary of Operation Sindoor, Prime Minister Narendra Modi praised India’s strong response to terrorism and commitment to national security. He highlighted how the military operation showcased India’s determination to protect its people.
India carried out airstrikes on nine targets in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir on May 7, 2025, following a terrorist attack on civilians in Pahalgam on April 22, 2025. PM Modi commended the armed forces for their remarkable bravery, precision, and unity during the operation.
He emphasized that Operation Sindoor demonstrated the professionalism and teamwork of India’s armed forces, as well as the progress made in self-reliance in defense capabilities. India remains unwavering in its fight against terrorism and its supporting systems.
To mark the occasion, PM Modi changed his social media profile pictures to a black background with “Operation Sindoor” and the Indian tricolour, symbolizing the nation’s salute to its heroes.
