Over 500 Indians Return from Qatar Flights

The Indian Embassy in Qatar said that more than 500 Indian citizens who were stranded in the country travelled to India last night on Qatar Airways flights. The passengers flew to New Delhi and other destinations as part of efforts to help Indians return home during the current situation in the region.

According to the Embassy, Qatar Airways will operate two more flights to India today. One flight will travel to New Delhi and the other to Mumbai, giving more stranded passengers a chance to return home.

Embassy Help Lines Available 24 Hours

The Embassy also said that it has set up three 24-hour helplines for the Indian community in Qatar. These helplines are available for people who need assistance, information, or support during this period. Indian citizens have been encouraged to contact the Embassy if they face any problems or have questions.

Faster Passport Services for Indians

The Embassy added that special attention is being given to issuing passports quickly for Indian nationals who need them urgently. Due to the present situation, the Embassy office is open on all days of the week to accept passport applications.

Officials said that Tatkal passports are being issued within one to two days, which is much faster than the usual processing time. This step is meant to help people who need urgent travel documents to return to India or travel to other destinations.

Safety Advisory for Indian Community

The Embassy has also urged Indian residents in Qatar to follow all official alerts and warning messages carefully. People have been asked to stay alert and follow safety instructions issued by authorities.

In addition, the Embassy advised everyone not to touch or approach any unknown objects, debris, or fragments that they may find. If such objects are seen, people should immediately inform the authorities by calling 999.

Officials said these steps are part of the Embassy’s efforts to ensure the safety and support of the Indian community in Qatar during the ongoing regional tensions.
