Pakistan’s Chief of Defence Forces, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, has received
Saudi Arabia’s highest civilian award, the King Abdulaziz Medal of Excellence.
According to a statement from the Pakistan Army, the award was given under a
Royal Decree issued by King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud. The King Abdulaziz
Medal of Excellence is the highest national honour of Saudi Arabia.
The Saudi leadership praised Field Marshal Asim Munir for his professionalism
and strategic thinking. They also appreciated his efforts to strengthen the
long-standing and friendly relations between Saudi Arabia and Pakistan.
