Karnataka Home Minister G. Parameshwara on Sunday repeated that he is still
interested in becoming the Chief Minister, while also making a sharp comment
about Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar.
Speaking to reporters, Parameshwara said he has always been in the race for the
Chief Minister’s post and that it is not something new or controversial.
He also recalled the Congress victory in 2013 and said, “When I was the Karnataka
Congress President, I helped the party come to power. But I never said that I
alone worked for that win or that I was the only one responsible.”
